Dr. Sarah Kirk is a National Board Certified Counselor and the owner of Yoga 4 Classrooms. 

Currently, she is an adjunct professor and an ASCA-certified trainer. Prior to these roles, she was a school counselor and the School Counselor Specialist at the Oklahoma State Department of Education. In her role at the Oklahoma State Department of Education,  she created and implemented a state-wide, ASCA-aligned comprehensive school counseling framework. Sarah is an advocate for comprehensive school counseling programs for every student to meet their social, emotional, academic, and career development needs. She advocates for the creation and implementation of programs and interventions that meet the needs of the whole child including innovative supports such as yoga and mindfulness practices in schools, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), trauma-informed practices, and restorative responses to behavior.   

Sarah received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Science and her Master of Science degree in Counseling from Oklahoma State University. She received her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Capella University in 2023. She served on the Board of Directors for the American School Counselor Association from 2019-2022. In 2019, her School Counseling Program became a Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) through the American School Counselor Association. Sarah was Oklahoma's 2018 School Counselor of the Year and an ASCA 2019 National School Counselor of the Year Finalist. Sarah is an advocate for the profession and is passionate about equity and access to school counseling services for all students.   

In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, running, yoga, bike riding, reading, volunteering, and filling other people's buckets!
